Anthony Cannatella has been practicing law since 1989. He has a broad knowledge variety of legal experience in international law; corporate law; estate planning and litigation; and trademark and intellectual property law.
Anthony was formerly partner at Pavia & Harcourt, LLP. In 2007, he left Pavia & Harcourt to begin his own firm, the Law Offices of Anthony S. Cannatella.
Throughout his law career, Anthony has gained experience in many aspects of litigation and corporate organization. Dealing with many different international issues throughout the years, Anthony brings a unique business perspective to the litigation and corporate practice. He has successfully brought and defended civil actions both domestically and abroad and is well suited to counsel clients in such actions. Both the civil litigation and the corporate practice benefit from this litigation experience. This experience allows Anthony to provide knowledgeable guidance in the drafting of corporate documents and agreements, and aids him in understanding the need to focus on issues so as to ultimately avoid litigation in the future.
Anthony also has extensive practice in both international and domestic trust and estate administration. He has counseled many clients on the best way to fulfill their estate planning goals. Anthony has also compiled estate and trust accountings and has litigated both on behalf of and against fiduciaries in probate, administration and accounting proceedings.
Anthony is a graduate of Georgetown University (A.B. 1985), Brooklyn Law School (J.D. 1988), and New York University School of Law (LL.M. International Legal Studies 1989). He is a member of the bar of the State of New York. In addition, he is admitted to the Federal Courts and has practiced in both the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
